This is a "jiao zi" mold; a sticky dough is filled with meats and veggies, pinched closed and pressed into a mold and then boiled/steamed/fried before serving. These fancy molds were mainly used for special events like Spring Festival or weddings, etc. It has an excellent carved design, and beautiful aged wood patina. The Chinese character you see means "Longevity." The peach shape is symbolic for life.
